W. Grey Champion
WELCOME!
Whatever your age, gender, race, religion, or ethnicity, if you are the typical modern person adrift in the roiling seas of modern life, you have likely wondered about its meaning and come up disappointed in the usual answers. Established religions ask you to believe in superstitions; science wants you to accept the cold void of space, the “nothing all things end in,” to quote the Persian. Intuition speaks to you of a personal identity, perhaps the indwelling Deity. Yet busy with your life, also too typical of modern times, you content yourself with the agnostic conclusion that such questions, being indecipherable by the human mind, do not warrant consideration.
W. Grey Champion is a person who has been fortunate enough in this life to have the opportunity to reflect on such questions and the inclination to find answers, to search out the most profound thought of which humankind has been capable, whether in philosophy or science, and to go to the root of things, the ultimate reality. In 2013 at the age of sixty-eight and ready to share his findings with others, he retired from his profession to dedicate his time and talents to writing. His first three books represent the subjects upon which he determined to express his thoughts in his lifetime.
In youth, Champion was inspired by a charismatic English teacher, who gave the class the assignment of keeping a daily Paragraph Book, and this author never gave up the practice. Some years before retiring he started a blog called From the Moleskine to which he has posted every week since. That weekly feed is provided here with its discussions of current issues, from his own novel viewpoint, thoughts and observations, and other regular features.
Entering the world of publishing late in life, Champion soon learned that gaining attention in the chaos of cyberspace is the greatest challenge. If you are reading this, therefore, be assured he is gratified to have reached at least one other soul.
